CP Amadeus Benelux launches “Amadeus e-Support Centre”, online support for travel agencies

Amadeus boosts travel agent productivity and enhances the support experience by providing access to support content and case logging on a new online support

portal.

More than 8.000 Amadeus users through the Benelux will benefit from the solution.

Vilvoorde, Belgium, 06 January 2010: Amadeus, a global leader in technology and distribution solutions for the travel and tourism industry, launches the Amadeus e-Support Centre, an online support tool for travel agents to browse support information, resolve problems and log a case to the Amadeus Customer Center. The online portal is currently used in many countries like France, United Kingdom, Austria, Portugal, and is now launched in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Amadeus e-Support Centre already contains a rich knowledge base with more than over one

thousand knowledge solutions, tips and support guidelines. The wide range of resources and

educational material can be searched by keyword, topic and specific system error message. All this is available at no extra cost to customers and is designed to increase productivity.

Besides this knowledge base, we have also developed a case logging functionality where agents get the possibility to log a case online which will be processed by the Amadeus Customer Service Center. Once the case has been submitted, it is automatically added to the cases list accessible from the portal. From the case list the travel agent may check the status, add an update or an attachment to the case and request closure.

Amadeus e-Support Centre for Travel Agents provides knowledge content specifically tailored for use by travel agents. It also includes an online transaction guide, also known as Format Finder, to give agents the possibility to search and print the full transaction guide with all Amadeus codes.

Bart Bellers, Director – Customer Delivery, comments: “Online search technology and self service have become part of our daily lives. Amadeus has worked closely with customers to create new online support tools that are designed to make their lives easier. This investment in new technology will provide customers with better access to information and new and innovative ways to get the support they need when and where they need it.”

Didier Timperman, Solution Market Owner BeNeLux – American Express Business Travel: “ It is a powerful and easy to use online tool available 24/7 giving the users guided instructions to the solution.”
